The American Premier Soccer League held it’s monthly owners meeting this past week in Miami and had the pleasure of welcoming two new teams to play in the league’s fall tournament.
The owners all agreed on accepting Miami Fusion and Miami Storm to join the APSL Fall Tournament this upcoming month.
Unlike the APSL season, which runs from March until August, the APSL Fall tournament is a way to keep teams in form and trying out players as the clubs look toward the US Open Cup, and the upcoming APSL Season.
The board was also honored to have Richard F. Moeller joins them for the meeting. Moeller has just recently been named the President of the Florida State Soccer Association.
The league’s very successful 2015 APSL season was a huge talking point for Moeller who stated many of the other leagues around the state have been talking about the high-level competition of the APSL.
Smaller leagues have inquired the APSL about possible partnerships, and two of those leagues were at the meeting to pitch ideas.
As the APSL gears up for its 2015 Fall Tournament, all eyes will be on the league which is less than one-year-old.
